Guided Meditation Script - The Best Way to Achieve a Deep Meditative State

A guided meditation script and guided meditation audio CD's offer the fastest and easiest ways to reach a deep meditative state. They are equally helpful to yoga novices and advanced practitioners. There are meditation audios that use Isochronic tones or Binaural beats that are pitched at explicit frequencies to have an impact on certain areas of the brain. These audio CD's are available in any store that carries yoga DVD products and other related yoga resources. These products can also be found easily online.

How Do Meditation Scripts Help in Meditation?

Basically, a guided meditation script can be read by a teacher to a yoga class during Savasana to bring the class to a deeper level of relaxation. A Yoga Nidra meditation script is an example of this. Certain audio CD's have tonal stimulations that have Isochronic, Binaural and Monaural beats to guide practitioners to achieve better meditation. Below, we review these in detail.

1. Monaural Beats

Monaural beats are stimulations set to a single pulse and at a single frequency continually repeated and cloaked inside other comforting sounds. It is more like the soft flowing sound of a slow ceiling fan on a hot afternoon. The sound creates a hypnotic effect and you can feel the relaxation set in. You may even start to doze off. Monaural beats act in a similar way but produce significantly different results.

2. Binaural Beats

These are beats that are repetitive and are segmented at varying frequencies to each ear. If the difference between the two frequencies is between 10 to 30 Hertz, the brain makes up for the difference by creating another tone that compensates the difference. This way, the conscious mind progressively starts to become in tune with the pulse of the tones. Binaural beats serve the purpose of calming the conscious mind and clearing the clutter of thoughts, paving the way for the sub-conscious mind to articulate its creativity.

3. Isochronic Tones

In comparison to the above mentioned, Isochronic tones are created by spacing the pulsing of tones evenly at much higher frequencies, resulting in synchronization of the brain with the pulse at an increased pace. Soothing sounds of ocean, water and wind are superimposed on music, creating an effect of unforced elimination of the constant babbling of our minds. Isochronic tones have been found to be far more effective as compared to Monaural or Binaural beats when used in guided meditation. Isochronic tones help practitioners reach a relaxed state of mind and a deep meditative state quite rapidly.

4. Guided Meditation Script

With a guided meditation script, very little effort is required, and the more passive the practitioner is, the better the results will be. All you need to do is relax and listen to the soothing sounds of rain, wind and music playing on a CD or yoga DVD, or have someone read from a guided meditation script while you surrender, de-stress and reap the benefits.
